Soon, very soon.

So I haven't gone to see the headmaster yet, but I'm not holding out much hope that they're going to offer me a contract for next year. Upon reflection, I can't say I'm disappointed. I mean, okay. A job? Yeah, gets me money. Teaching experience? Also good. But seriously, these kids are beginning (okay, that's a lie. They have been for quite a while) to grate on my nerves.
"Why is this computer, like, not working?"
Me: ...because God hates you.
"What do you mean we have work to do?"
Me: Shocking, I know. What with the fact that you're in school and all.
*insert inane brain cell killing chatter here*
Me: *gnaws teeth and refrains from killing something*
"Can I use a computer?"
Me: Seeing as you don't even know how to plug in a damn mouse? I'd say no.

Yeah, I'm weeping at the thought of leaving this place. Weeping tears of pure joy. That said, there's apparently a position for a Human Resources secretary with one of the nearby school systems.

Pros: No more dealing with children (YES YES OH FUCK YES), much better pay, closer to home
Cons: Still have to deal with people, probably longer hours, it's 12 months as opposed to 9 with the summer off.

Truly, the pros outweigh the cons in this. Oh god, I want this job. I want it so hard. In the meantime, T-minus 2 more days of dealing with mind killing teenagers.

ETA: Just talked to him. They "can't make the math work". Aka, they're going to save money by having a teacher without students teach computers next year. Meh, their loss. As for me? I suddenly have this feeling of pure joy.

"It was just... good business..." -British guy-man just before walking into explody-sinky death.

What is that phrase? History repeats itself? Strength and fortitude; maybe your ex-boss man will take a cruise in the near future.

Also, the new job? Sounds awesome. Working HR can be sooooooooo nice.
