Last post of the night

I've seen the future, ladies and gentlemen. This is gonna be us someday. And it shall be awesome.

Guess the Ingredients!

So Yaoi Boy was in the area and called me up to hang out. We ran to IHOP to have dinner. Dinner was fine until we got to the dessert. YB ordered a fruit crepe that was supposed to be filled with cream cheese. I tasted it...and promptly spit it into my napkin. I'm fairly sure that was not cream cheese. I'm also fairly sure it was actually sour cream. I have no idea how that mistake was made.

Then after spending an hour or two at Books A Million that ended with a conversation with Creepy Guy who was sitting next to us in the magazine section, we went to go see the Grudge 2. Oops, I mean The Suck 2. If you want to know what the movie was like, it's easy to simulate. Take scenes from three different movies that vaguely resemble each other. Jumble up the scenes and create one movie. There you go. Also make sure that it seems like the movie is in chronological order, until the very end. The key is to confuse your audience so you don't know what's actually going on. This movie ate my soul and left a giant pile of suck in its place. At this point, the Prestige could be about Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman reading the phone book and I'd be happy.

Cookie making and the Prestige on Friday and Zombie Walk on Saturday! Yay!

Halloween Memes

Because dammit, I'm bored.

1. What's the scariest movie you've ever seen?
Hmm, that's a tough one. There are a lot of good scary movies out there. However, I had an aversion to the Child's Play movies when I was younger. Something about that damn doll...

2. What was your favorite Halloween Costume from childhood?
Uhh, I can't recall. Probably Christine DaaƩ from The Phantom of the Opera. Even back then, I wanted to marry him.

3. If you had an unlimited budget, what would your Fantasy Costume be for this Halloween? Oh man... I'd probably expand on my Slytherin costume. Get a better gray vest and better pants. Either that, or make a Snape costume.

4. When was the last time you went Trick or Treating?
A long, long time ago.

5. What's your favorite Halloween Candy?
3 Musketeers, full size. None of that 'fun size' crap for me!

6. Tell us about a scary nightmare you had.
All of mine involve tornadoes and evil, floating dolls (not necessarily in the same dream). It makes me wonder about my subconscious.

7. What is your Supernatural Fear?
Those things from Silent Hill. Seriously, playing that game freaked me out. They fly out from under cars!

8. What is your Creepy-Crawly Fear?
Are bees considered creepy-crawly? I guess they don't really crawl... there was a big ass spider lurking around the house. Scared the crap out of me when I first saw it. It was like a black thumb with legs!

9. Tell us about a time when you saw a ghost, or heard something go bump in the night. The only one I know of was the incident at Longwood. I was in my room (god knows where my roommate at the time was) and I was in that half awake, half asleep state. You know, when you can kind of hear and see things around you but you're not completely conscious. And I swear, suddenly there was this girl in a cloak standing over me, just looking at me. I shot up in bed and she was gone. Scared me to death.

10. Would you ever stay in a real Haunted House overnight?
If I was not alone, then yes. More fun with a group anyway.

11. Are you a traditionalist (just a face) Jack O'Lantern Carver, or do you get really creative with your pumpkins? I don't carve pumpkins because I'm not allowed near sharp objects. (For my safety as well as those around me)

12. How much do you decorate your home for Halloween?
I try to do more and more each year. When I get my own place, I plan to have it like a damn haunted house.

13. What do you want on your Tombstone?
Extra cheese, chicken, basil, and tomato. ...now I'm hungry.

Tag people. Uh... whomever. There's only, like, two or three people who read this. You! Yeah, you. You're tagged.

In non-meme related news, I received a letter from the IAFA today and just kind of looked at it and sighed. As much as I want to go next year, it's probably not going to happen. Mainly due to monetary reasons. However, if I secure a job by the end of the year, I'm still holding out hope for ConneXions in March. It's in Baltimore, the location being the Best Western Hotel at the Travel Plaza and will be March 30 - April 1. Seriously, a weekend spent talking about slash? How can I resist?
Right, so I'm applying for that computer teaching job at Kenston. Well, it turns out that one of their English teachers will be running off fairly soon to get his Masters and then to go teach with the big boys. And when Dad mentioned the fact that I have a B.A. in English, his boss just *happened* to mention the teacher who's leaving in another year or so. Which means if I do get hired as the temp computer teacher and they like me, I might have another position waiting for me. And hey, it's money while I'm working on getting my Masters. Too bad I'm not allowed to strangle students though. *mumble*

Because Natty and I are strange, we came up with this little story. I hope you like it.

Once upon a time, there were two boys named Ed and Al. Al became a trashcan, but Ed loved him anyway. They shagged a lot. The end.

Okay, okay. I'll update this thing. I'm still unemployed. That's about it. My life is so unexciting. Mainly I'm once again addicted to online gaming. Damn you KoL!

And I'm still reading the gay smex. Big surprise. Ninja, you so have to watch Horatio Hornblower. The gay is strong with this one. Also Paul McGann. Mmm... what was I saying?
