Turkey Day

Yeah, screw tofurkey. I want meat dammit.

Uneventful day. I'm currently on the 'sleeping during the day' portion of my sleep cycle, so I woke up at about 5pm. Dinner was good, Mom made the sweet potato pudding that I love so much (mmm, pudding). And then I wandered away to my room to browse 4chan until everyone vacated the downstairs and went to bed. Tomorrow, Meg& has decided to brave the streets for Black Friday, and being the adventurous type, figured I'd accompany her. It's not like I have the money to buy anything right now, so at most, I'll get some interesting stories from it. Thus I'll be out the door by 4am, which isn't bad considering I'll probably still be awake anyway, then on to shopping. From there, we plan on getting breakfast and then running home to get some sleep. All in all, it shouldn't be a bad day.

But for now, I'm hungry again. Time to raid the freezer.

Hey Ninja!

The website for the 2006 Slash Advent Calendar is up!

*sighs*

So I've reached the Romana II section, thus I don't have many 4th Doctor episodes left. Which is extremely sad since I'm completely and totally in love with the 4th Doctor. And his pants. Seriously, his pants are sexy. As are his boots, especially when he slides across the floor. At most, I'll at least get to move on to the 5th Doctor and get to watch him play cricket.

Sonypocalypse!

Oh man, the stories I've been hearing from Best Buys and Circuit Cities. It's craziness! Thus, by Saturday, if any of you have any awesome PS3 line stories to tell, please do. It shall amuse me. I really want to go out and watch the fistfights. And take pictures. Forrest is currently camping outside of a Best Buy right now (has been since yesterday morning). He has a group with him. Why? So he can buy a bunch of PS3s and sell them on Ebay. *facepalm* But it's okay, because I expect tales from him. I've already heard one about a group who broke out a grill and started frying up hamburgers to suddenly discover they had no spatula. But it's okay, because someone either had or bought a Mariah Carey cd! It made a great spatula apparently.

Why do I keep doing this to myself?!

So I totally made the mistake of watching the first episode of Blake's 7. ...yeah, I'm waiting for the second episode to finish as I type. Thus I have the first season of Blake to watch, the last two movies of Horatio Hornblower waiting for me, and the rest of the 4th Doctor's series on CD just calling to me. Also, I've been trying to catch up on Heroes. Well damn...

Also, ZOMG Ninja have you seen who's going to be on Heroes in January?! *freaks out*

I'll just let this article speak for itself. Games 4 Girls at Gamestop: Gagging, Weeping, Bleeding From the Eyes. Seriously, who plays these games?! I'm going to play Half Life now...

Why, Kenston, why?!

So yeah. The guy is long gone. And Kenston? Is dragging their damn feet about this. They wanted to hire someone who could do both jobs, but have been unable to find someone. They reached this conclusion on Wednesday. Now it's a matter of deciding between the applicants they have. *facepalm* Needless to say, I'm still minus a job.

However, I do have money in the bank finally after I received a damage refund check from Longwood for $62.

...I know! I was shocked too! I thought it was going to be yet another bill, telling me I had to pay compensation for damaging a piece of grass or something. But it was a check! I wasn't sure how to react. Even checked for the "J/K LOL" but it turned out to be real! Yay!
I still fully expect Cormier to jump out of the bushes and mug me one day though. *looks around*

Also, Ninja! Will you come set these people straight? Surely you know what number 10 is! Fandom Meme.

Torchwood Post

So remember that time Jack made out with Ianto but pretended it was mouth to mouth resuscitation? Yeah, good times. I hope Ianto gets into more life-threatening peril. Maybe next time, we'll get hawt Jack-on-Ianto sex CPR.

Fun, Fun, and More Fun

So I've had a sinus infection for the last week. It hasn't been fun. My doctor gave me Bactrim for it and I proceeded to have a reaction to it. It completely zapped my appetite and then my blood sugar level dropped and... yeah. So I called the office on Wednesday and they switched me to a z-pack. I finished the last of it last night and I feel much better. Unfortunately Halloween was pretty much a bust due to the medicine. YB came over and we went to visit Leslie and Forrest (who were working at the time) and we ran to Jersey and Mike's for dinner. I only finished half of my sandwich because I started to feel dizzy. So YB took me back home after we collected his copy of FF XII and we watched House and SVU. Then I was still feeling blah, so he called it a night and went home, and I went to bed. Didn't fall asleep until late though as I was in pain for a good portion of the night. Not fun at all.

But now I'm feeling better and just really want out of the house for more than an hour. Mainly to get away from Sean acting up and Kristin screaming at him in response. It's like a massive cycle from which I can't escape. I really, really need a job. Hopefully the I Sold It! thing will work out if Forrest does get a promotion at Circuit City. I had an interview there a few days before the infection hit and the manager seemed at least somewhat impressed. Still waiting to hear back from Kenston as well, though at this point, I don't think I will. I think they're going to go down the route of hiring someone who can do both jobs so that they can save money. Blah. But who knows, stranger things have happened. If neither of them work out, I'll probably cave and go apply to B&N or something. Because I need money.
