So much for that
So I'm out of a job again. Last Friday I wasn't feeling great and all morning I'd felt like I was going to cry (I still have no idea why), so I took half the day and went home. That evening I get a phone call from Aerotek. K Line emailed my recruiter basically saying it wasn't working out and they were going to have to let me go. One of their reasons? I didn't come in on Saturday. ... Now let me explain something to you. I had heard that the Documentation department had been going in on Saturdays to catch up with their queue and had specifically asked both my supervisor and the manager of the Export side of things (the side I was working with) if I was expected to show up on Saturday. Both told me I could join them if I wanted, but it wasn't expected of me. So naturally, being the sleep deprived thing I am, I slept in on Saturday, especially since I was assured that I wouldn't really be that needed as my trainer (the guy I was replacing) would be basically doing my job on Saturdays. So of course, when my recruiter told me this reason, my eye started to twitch.
How hard is it for businesses to actually tell you what they mean? If you want me to work on Saturday, FUCKING TELL ME!
So now I'm back on the search for a new job, hopefully a permanent one as I'm really getting sick of this temp crap and having to go through Aerotek every time I sneeze at work or something. That and health benefits would be nice.
In other news, Chris' job is going well, though I think he really wants to throttle his employers and their stupidity. Mainly that they want this Ebay venture to work out, yet they don't want to use Paypal. -.- That and apparently their prices are far higher than most other Ebay sellers. But at least it seems far less stressful for him than Comcast was.
In conclusion, my finger is bleeding so I'm going to end this post.
